1939 Rover 16 Sports Saloon

Rover 16 for sale. Off the road (garaged) for 40 years after suffering heat damage from an external fire. The paint was burnt off the front wings, bonnet top, roof, engine sides and the drivers door. The roof material was also lost. The car is absolutely solid, and was in very good condition prior to the fire. The doors shut like a railway carriage. There is only surface rust, mainly where the paint was burnt off other than the o/s/f wing which has a couple of holes, but it is eminently repairable. The head and sidelamps have been re-chromed (not re-fitted), as are the wing mirrors. I have not tried starting her, but the engine is free. The interior leather is incredible. Even the stitching on the seats is good. Fitted with a period KL heater and stainless steel exhaust. Some history with the car, some of which is quite intriguing.
