RSR Forum- New members • Re: Rover 14What a lovely bit of family history, and great that the forum could trace the car through its later owners and registrations. The free wheel knob is a nice detail to remember, it was a distinctive feature on Rovers of that era. If the current owner is ever reachable through a club, a photo of […]TonyTorque
- RSR Discussion • Re: P2 colour codesGood advice but as far as is known, original paint data was amongst the documents destroyed by fire during the German air raid on Coventry on 14/15 November 1940. As tonytorque says, paint suppliers will scan the paint and match it. If the paint is original under the bonnet, there are usually 2 covers screwed […]GOY189
- New members • Re: Rover 14Hello and welcome to the Forum.FXM1’s fifth owner bought the car from Stratford-on-Avon Motor Museum , in unrestored but roadworthy condition, with 11 months MOT and registration XJO 690. - Wilks' cars P1 and P2, thats cars up to 1947 • Re: p2 rover 10 rear wheel bearingsI made a video of my P1 12, stuck it on youtube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6iDRv-Djdg You need a press, a tall one as you have to use a lot of force to dismantle, 15 of so ton was needed on mine. - Wilks' cars P1 and P2, thats cars up to 1947 • Re: p2 rover 10 rear wheel bearingsI recall it was difficult! I had mine done by a Land Rover independent specialist who knew about Series one LR’s …as I recall the rear axles are essentially the same. A lot of quite brute force (a powerful press) was involved.David2021
