A replacement arrived from Mike Evans that was an inch shorter than the one that had snapped. The replacement fitted and the ball joint to the drag link was above and just behind the axle. The root of the problem was a newish loom which was not quite the right one for the car then a friend needed a failing RF95 replaced with an RB106 and separate fuses.
