That nut will make some slight adjustment to the mixture to ensure smooth idling, it will not change fundamentally the air fuel mixture for the rest of the rev range, that is done by changing the needle. I’d check whether the pump is consistently delivering fuel to the carb and make sure there isn’t any blockage further up the line.For the SU carb, screwing the jet adjusting nut up (clockwise/in) weakens the mixture, while down […]Riley
