- Wilks' cars P1 and P2, thats cars up to 1947 • Re: External oil filterSo…. Does this kit fit an OHV P2 engine? Or just the new generation overhead inlet side exhaust? Removal of the Luvax automatic lubrication may be a red herring as that only lubricates the chassis and has nothing to do with the engine apart from using manifold pressure/vacuum as it’s power source…David2021

- Wilks' cars P1 and P2, thats cars up to 1947 • Re: External oil filterThe Wipac bypass oil filters (they were fitted to 1950 Rover75 -cyclops) are very difficult to find. Similar but smaller filters (ACzr1) were fitted to some Austin cars. See : https://www.flexolite.co.uk/products/fa ... _kit_fa137https://www.flexolite.co.uk/products/zs ... e-zs1#pic1ZS1 filters were fitted to Series 1 Land Rovers, P3 and late P2 cars.Hope this helpsMikeGOY189
- RSR Discussion • Protective wing coversSome years ago I had a pair of padded fabric wing covers that draped over the front wings to protect them, whilst leaning over the car to work on the engine. These had magnets sown into the lining to hold them in place and they worked reasonably well. I have seen similar for sale on […]byb

- Wilks' cars P1 and P2, thats cars up to 1947 • Re: Rover Meteor clutchThe car has always crunched in too gear from neutral but seemed to have got worse lately. I found the withdrawal arm had worn at the cam that pushes the withdrawal bearing. So adjusted the clutch pedal to take the some of the play. So a little better.MJLSCOTT
- I want and I 've got.. • Re: Rewinding a fuel reserve solenoidI am resurrecting this thread as I have an easy cheap fix for the frequently experienced problem of failing fuel reserve valves. I have an old Aston which uses the same system as Rovers. I bought a job lot of failed P4 valves for experimentation. A short pipe draws fuel normally. When the fuel level […]astonchap
