- Early post WWII, P3 the original Rover 75 and 60 • Re: P3 75 floor panel fixingIt’s a while since I did this job on my P2, but I’m sure the screws are 1/4BSF. So it would be reasonable to expect the same on P3’s as you suggest. No knowing what previous repairers have done I suppose. Have you tried running a 1/4BSF tap into the captive nuts?Hope that helps, DaveMHAD501

- Early post WWII, P3 the original Rover 75 and 60 • P3 75 floor panel fixingI have taken the floor panels out of my P3 75 to restore. I have removed all the fixing bolts which fix into the captive nuts on the outer frame and chassis. I'd like to replace them. What thread are they? I thought they were 1/4BSF but they seem to be slightly finer thread. Many […]Hud60
- Early post WWII, P3 the original Rover 75 and 60 • P3 rear spring shackle adjustmentI am trying to level up the rear suspension after new springs fitted and the car has a 1” list. I have read the w/s manual item on doing this by slackening off the shackle bolts and winding in or out the threaded adjustment bolt. This makes no measurable difference to the height measured from […]byb
- Wilks' cars P1 and P2, thats cars up to 1947 • Re: P2 tourer at BrightwellsNow with fresh SAE30 and a clean strainer I have done about 20 miles.Initially not willing to run on all four, but it cleared and is going pretty well. Tyres are very hard and white lines on the road are quite scary! This was the same on the other tourer. New tyres transformed it. Brakes […]David2021

- Wilks' cars P1 and P2, thats cars up to 1947 • Re: P2 tourer AJV14 from Brightwells March 2024Now I have the car (and the keys - don't ask). It appears very original...no sign of previous restoration., just lots of use and (I hope) regular maintenance.. Many small differences to my other car (no 110). For example in the boot area there is a Rexine fabric cover (not quite sure what it covers, […]David2021
