    10               Pendle and District Rover Association rally at Towneley Park, Burnley, Lancs.

     17              Yorkshire Rover Club Rally at the historic Piece Hall in the centre of Halifax. Details

  23-24          Culzean Autoclassica-International Vehicle Gathering at Culzean Castle, Ayrshire.

                       This is a new prestigious weekend rally, some aspects of which are styled on the

                       Goodwood Revival. Period dress code will be encouraged, and heritage parades

                       will take place from all the participating groups, clubs, and individual entries.

                       Saturday evening will be a Celebration Party Night at the Home Farm Visitor

                       courtyard restaurant, and there will be historic racing and heritage demonstration

                       runs during both days. Entry fee for the complete weekend is £6 per car which

                       includes 2 adults and children under 15. The RSR in Scotland is planning to have a

24           Rover meet at the Bucks Railway Centre, Quainton, Buckinghamshire, 6 miles north of

               Aylesbury off the A41. Main objective is to buy and sell Rover spares. Bring your spares along,

              even a complete car!

             Entry £2 per person, giving unlimited access to the railway museum site,

             train rides etc. Raffle and awards. All Rovers welcome.

September

      6              Rover Sports Register Annual General Meeting. This will be held at 2.00pm at

                      Coventry Motor Museum. It coincides with the Coventry Run,  part of a two-day

                      event (6th and 7th) organised by the Museum. Tony Jenkins has arranged a stand

                      for ten Rovers in the Memorial Park as part of this run.

   12-14        The RSR/RP4DG Lakes Rally at the Burnside Hotel, Bowness-on-Windermere.

                      It will follow the usual format. Gather on the Friday. On Saturday, there will be a

                      trip on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway which can be combined with a

                      cruise on the lake. There will also be a tour round Wasdale, a remote and

                      spectacular  valley, with lunch at the Wasdale Head Inn. On the Sunday, there

                      will be a return  visit to Holker Hall with its motor museum.

                      Accommodation bookings to be made directly with the hotel. Rate is £72 per person

                      per night based on 2 nights Dinner, B & B with a 50% reduction for an overnight

                      stay on Sunday night. For those wishing to stay elsewhere but still attend the

                     Saturday evening meal, the rate will be £28 per head for the 4-course meal plus

Diary note for 2009. RSR National Rally at Forde Abbey, near Chard in Somerset, will be held

                       over the weekend of 11th/12th July. More details later.
