This page is for news and information about other Rover clubs around the world that also cater for all Rover vehicles.

New Zealand

In New Zealand some of the Rover Clubs are very small, some with less than 20 members. They have come together and have formed an association and have developed a web site .

To quote from their web site:

The Association came into being about 1979 as a result of the efforts of Bob Lee in Waikato and several enthusiasts in Canterbury who modelled it on the English Association, which had been a useful organization for many years. We set up a working committee to give an umbrella organization to the NZ Rover Car Clubs, or a unified group to speak for the Clubs.”

The German Rover Club, named “Rover Freunde Deutschland e.V.”, caters for all Rover Cars from 1904 to 2005 in Germany. In turn with the Rover Clubs in Austria, Switzerland and The Netherlands there is organised an International Rover Meeting every year. We are very happy that there are participants from the UK every year. This year (2013) it’s organised by the Italian Rover Club for the first time. In 2014 it will be held in Austria, 2015 again in Germany.
Our Website is in German only, but pictures say more than words. We are hopeful to create a new Website this year which will also have an English version.
I’m Michael Peter Boersig, the Webmaster and Archivar – always looking for Rover literature, brochures etc. to scan it into PDF-form and translating it into German, for documentation purposes.

We are an established restorer of steering wheels based in the U.K.; specialising in restoring and recreating original steering wheels for vintage, veteran classic cars and commercials.

We are interested in the possibility of advertising with Owners Clubs such as yours, either in a Club magazine or on your website.

I would be most grateful if you could advise if this is possible.

    Regards,

    Paul Banham.
